Okay, this is a bit different - instead of looking for a smash mouth game winning list I am trying to make a fun, interesting list to help get some friends (who already have full armies) to start playing the game. I want it to be a decent and competitive list to take against newbies - they would know if I sandbagged too much. They know I tend to make solid competitive lists in 40K but don't abandon the "fluff". I am trying to do the same here, but with a bit lighter touch.

It is surprisingly difficult for me to not think in terms of what is best and all synergy. Weird.

Anyway, I am hoping that this list will be fun to play and play against - and I really don't care about winning - fun is the most important thing. I want them to see all that WFB can be in all the different phases (obviously magic is out for me) but I tried to include movement, shooting and combat as well as a some of the more interesting dwarf themes (slayers and longbeards). Anyway, anyone up for the challenge of making a fun light list?

So, without further waffling.

Verag Frostbeard (Thane - General), GW, Shield, Runes of Resistance and Stone, MR of challenge

Gurni Bombilsson (Dragon Slayer)

15 Warriors, Full Command, Shield

10 Thunderers, Shield

14 Longbeards, Great Weapon, Shield, Full Command

6 Troll Slayers

1 Gyrocopter

1 Bolt Thrower, Engineer, Rune of Penetrating
